Meet Jacque Duncan, M.D. -- 向大家介绍一个视网膜疾病美国专家
Because of your generous support, we are able to partner with some of the most brilliant, committed researchers and clinicians on the planet to help us win the fight against blindness.
Today, I'd like to introduce you to Dr. Jacque L. Duncan, who is working to find innovative treatments to preserve retinal function in patients with RP, cone rod dystrophy, Stargardt disease, Best disease and AMD.
She is a Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco where several important clinical studies are underway related to new treatments and devices that may help slow the rate of vision loss, or to restore vision loss.
Dr. Duncan's research is inspired by the patients she sees every day who are living with retinal degenerative diseases. She is a leader in the field of imaging and monitoring technologies used to evaluate the progression of disease and the efficacy of emerging therapies for patients with retinal degenerations.
Dr. Duncan is also a great teacher. She helps people with eye diseases understand where the science is now in terms of finding treatments and a cure, and helps patients learn how to preserve their remaining sight and live as active a life as possible.
Dr. Duncan is one of our extraordinary partners in the fight to save sight. She is an insightful researcher, clinician and educator.
Because of your faithful support, we have been able to bring scientists of Dr. Duncan's caliber to our fight. Likewise, you make it possible for us to build a team of the best researchers around the world to find the treatments and cures we so very much need. |
